Welcome to Milkhouse Farm!
Our farming journey began several years ago while Kendal was still working an office job away from home. When the company he was working for moved out east, he took the leap to focus on dairy. This has been greatly fulfilling for our whole family.
We have four children 10 & under, so you will likely see one or all of them wrangling kittens or trying to catch a runner duck. We’re happy you’re here!
Kendal (the milkman!) enjoys the daily ritual and routines of milking, but his favorite part of selling milk is the fantastic mix of customers. Talking with everyone always broadens our horizons, and we truly consider it a privilege to meet the incredible people living around us here in North Idaho. It brings us satisfaction to know that we are offering wholesome products straight from the source, and we are thankful that others see the value in what we produce here at the farm.
Rachel (the flower lady!) will probably talk your ear off about dahlias, so consider yourself warned! She has a passion for floral design, and discovered the enjoyment of growing, along the way. Mothering is her main focus in this season of life, but she believes growing flowers and raising babies go together quite nicely.
One of our primary goals for the farm is to maintain a local community of people who can lean on each other in the ways that we hear people used to do in the Great Depression. Need a cup of sugar? Ask us! If we don't have what you need, maybe we know someone who does. Maybe we can trade some milled wood for your help on a project we have going on. Or maybe we can just take a little time to chat.
Connection is a bedrock of society; for all the struggle and division out there, we know there is room for community & fellowship. Thank you for trusting us & for supporting local agriculture.
